hi anyone know of wood garden benches that dont cost two hundred dollard my garden is in need of seating areas

Here are some places to start:

1) Links to lots of companies that sell outdoor furniture: http://gardenwatchdog.com/advanced.php?category=42&submit=Search - some of the offerings are outrageously (IMHO) expensive, some are pretty reasonably priced.

2) I googled for "discount garden bench" and got this: http://www.google.com/search?q=discount+garden+bench&sourceid=mozilla-search&start=0&start=0&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8

3) Try eBay for used/overstocked benches - it's hit-or-miss, but you might luck out :o)

4) Start scouting your local "big box stores" - now that the 4th of July has passed, they'll start slashing prices on a lot of their home/garden stuff and you might be able to pick up some decent-quality benches on close-out prices.

5) One last idea: try your newspaper's classifieds section. I know around here there are frequently ads from local furniture-makers (often it's a sideline business/hobby for a retiree or someone who just has a passion for making furniture...)
