Favorite plants for the Texas hill country?

David Steinbrunner is writing a book for a Kerrville-based publishing company, about gardening in the hill country. I think it'll be a fun book.

Anyway, he asked me to come up with a list of Dave's Garden's top 25 plants for the Hill Country. Anyone around here want to throw in their favorite plants into the list?

Not actually living in the hill country, but Blackfoot Daisy - Melampodium leucanthum - would have to be near the top of the list.
