I have a 12-14 foot long area that I am planting dwarf boxwood to make a low natural fence. I know they are slow growers but how slow? I have purchased 4 of them and how far apart should I place them? I will go back and get more but needed the details before spending more$$. Is $7 apiece reasonable or should I look elsewhere?
Dwarf Boxwood
Mary, do you have a Sunset Western Garden book? If you don't that is one of the greatest helpers for us here in the Pacific NW. You can get it at Costco. I heartily recommend it. I used to spend and still spend lots of time consulting that book.
Lenjo, Ya know I have a neighbor that says the same thing. I will get one. Thanx, Joann.
The guy on Victory Garden did a blurb on dwarf boxwoods either Sun. or Sat. Maybe someone knows how to find that info for you!?!
edited to add: I found this when I googled: http://www.bonsai-bci.com/species/boxwood.html ...hope it helps!

thank you, kooger
The Western Garden Book is like the garden bible for us westerners. Since we all are in zone denial they were finally compelled to put out a National version - but Western is really focused for us.
