My mothers comments only come because she is such a "tight-wad" penny pincher. She feels that you shouldn't spend money unless it is an absolute necessity! LOL I keep trying to explain to her that GARDENING IS AN ABSOLUTE NECESSITY!!! Good thing she doesn't live close enough to get a peek at the credit cards or checkbook! LOL

They are not growing tall but they are getting fat and thick with side growth.
My neighbor has corn almost ready to pick. It is so short. About 4 feet. I wonder if the dirt grows them well but short! LOL

Looking good Kell! I wonder if a gas auger / post hole digger would work. Right size auger, you would have holes in no time.

Good suggestion, we've used a gasoline powered auger to create holes for planting things .... small pine trees mostly. It works well, makes the hole in no time.
You probably can rent one someplace.
Kell I keep watching this thread to see your progress, like the other's I look forward to seeing how they progress. Keep posting pictures.

Kell, so much hard work. It is hard enough if you are planting on your own property, but when you have to go miles, I don't know how far away your rented areas are, but I expect not walking distance. I finally got all mine mulched using shreds from old weeds and brush. Now the darn earwigs have found a good spot and are eating holes in the leaves. Hope yours escape any predators, and that you get some fabulous blooms. Donna
