Mine has completely vanished! I had given one to my neighbor and hers is completely gone as well!
What ate my Moonflower?
I have seen some of the petals of some other flowers cut away by something. I think it may be the work of some insect that takes it for cushioning/nesting or something. I have noticed that the water pipe (not used for a couple of days) gets blocked and when the water flows out, it pushes out those missing petals. Could it be the Wasp in your case too?
hmmmmm - there is a water pipe for the storm runner drainage nearby where I'd planted it (but it goes into the ground, to the sewage). Well - I have 3 more upstairs, and plan to plant them tomorrow. I was just hoping to figure out what could have done this, to prevent it from happening to my last 3...... I found out my neighbor's plant wasn't the moonflower I gave her that got ate, but the loves lies bleeding. I gave her 4 more of them today. Maybe now that all of these are bigger now, they will have a better chance of survival at whatever is getting to them. I sure hope so!
