Surinam Cherry has larvae inside

My Surinam Cherries are doing great - we've been eating them - until we discovered little white larvae inside. Does anyone know about this?

My hedge in Miami had larva too. If you look at the cherry before you eat it, you can see if it has been "invaded" by the tiny hole in it. Of course, I LOVE the cherries and being on the Atkins diet I figure if I miss seeing the hole, the protien is good for me! (LOL)
