Garden Watchdog - Locating companies by zipcode

Manhattan Beach, CA(Zone 11)

Dave, you fixed the "right" side, muy obligado.
But type my Zipcode 90266 and you'll still get the first bunch of listings with ZERO miles.
I don't use that feature, though. I get great maps for free at the local Auto Club.
Edited to add that one does have to pay for the AAA membership first.

I used an online ZIP code database to compare your ZIP to a few of the ZIP codes for companies showing zero miles to your home ZIP:

ZIP 90226
Latitude: +33.786594
Longitude: -118.298662

ZIP 91001 (Altadena)
Latitude: +33.786594
Longitude: -118.298662

ZIP 90041 (Los Angeles)
Latitude: +33.786594
Longitude: -118.298662

ZIP 91775 (San Gabriel)
Latitude: +33.786594
Longitude: -118.298662

And a pattern emerges: all of them have the same latitude/longitude readings ;o) So keep those maps handy!

If there is a location that I am not familiar with I call or eMail for directions and then get out my trusty state map to figure mileage. Mapquest is still showing a railroad track crossing my street that hasn't been there for thirty years!

Ulrich, I'm not disagreeing with you, I'm just pointing out that we don't make the L/L information, and there's not much we can do about those types of discrepancies, short of removing this feature from the GWD.

I for one hope we don't remove it, as I frequently rely on it to track down a company for which I only know the general vicinity.

I put that there only to show by how far your source is really off.
You might find MS Streets & Trips more useful and quite versatile.
