Small Scale Seedling Factory

Over the time I've been on DG I've been pretty shy with photos of what I actually do gardenwise, (partly due to being prodded about my lack of camera tripod ... You know who you are, you fiend! ;).

I took some photos of what I've been using the conservatory for. I'm supposed to be leaving the house some point this year so it was good to get some use out of it while I'm here. Well, that is until I realised just how many pests and diseases it holds despite the fact it's not contained plants before this year!

Anyway, there are some examples of elongated stems (Sunflowers) and recycling in them *G*

The long trays are grow bag trays which seem to be new locally this year and have been a boone for this years sowing. This one is of seedlings sown between 3 to 4 weeks ago.

Some plants that have been overwintered (yes I know floor needs a sweep:), more seedlings/plantlets and newly sown trays (free from the nursery).

Last shot of more sweeping to be done.

Ha! So an enigma no more. I was starting to think you were just a walking talking plant encyclopedia. All we need now is a pic of YOU!

p.s. I see you like yogurt eh? :)

DG already has a pic of me in the archives, 2 in fact! They are probably very welll hidden (and rightly so *G*)

I save the pots up over the year so I've usually got a good few by sowing time if I haven't done something else with them in the meantime. I've usually got a pot of yoghurt in the fridge.

lol, ok, so we use the same 'pots' and even have the same little indoor garden tools! (Jessie was applauded by her class because she told them on Earth Day that she and her Grandma save up yogurt and pudding cartons and use them as seedling pots). I have to admit that, here anyway, the yogurt and pudding pots are made of better material than the plant pots.

Ha! I found your pics by the way, and nice to see you. :)

Nice to see your handiwork, Baa! Are you still She of the Wild Mane? Your hair is gorgeous.
