Did I just witness Roadrunner Jo barefoot! Barefoot, I say!?

(She musta learnt that from Tessa!)

(I KNEW that dawg was gonna teach her a thing or two!)

Hi Everyone
I am sad to say that Roadrunner just left here heading Southwest. The dust had not settled long before she was on her way again. I am really going to miss her and would like to keep her with me but I guess that is not possible. So whoever meets her on her travels back to her home enjoy her as much as I have. She is a very special person to me. We have been friends about 26 years now and hope to be for many more. So I said my farewell sadly until next time. Love ya Jo

roadrunner, if you come down towards Asheville, we could do a day at Bilmore House and Gardens.......

Hey guys....Jo and Bob are here :-)....We just had dinner and took a long walk. We're having a GREAT time :-)

Efland, NC(Zone 7a)

They were here earlier...on their way to Vic's. (Nice camper van they gots!)

Tessa got to run around and stretch her short legs a bit, too!

Was nice meeting Bob and seeing RR again. (I think Bob has the ability to keep RR in line! :>)

If Jo is Roadrunner then I reckon Bob is Roady!

LOL! vic I forget where you are in WNC, but tell roadrunner & Bob that maybe I can get off a morning or afternoon and meet them in Asheville if they would like to go to Biltmore...

Pssssst! I just wanted to sneak in a quick photo here. Bad, bad Jo posted Peggy's sad looking 'left from last year' planter. Well here it is freshly planted with plants ready to take over the container. :) And boy was my focus off! LOL

Ahem! I noticed the pictures of the chives and iris that USED to be in LisH yard! I'm pretty sure, if
LizH has checked where those plants were, she will find 2 big holes! Can't trust these old people! hehehe

I wish the corn had been ripe when I was there...Lucky Vic and Hank!! LOL Jo

I tried raw sweetcorn at my friend's house a few weeks ago. Boy, was that GOOD! Never thought of eating it raw until she told me she used to eat some while out picking it.

I love raw corn. We are not growing any this year. Last year the raccoons got all of it.

Crossville, TN

A good sweet corn is good raw....right from the field! Jo

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Oh, man, this was just outstanding. The cooked tasted even sweeter, but the raw was fantastic. It was a bi-color sweetcorn and really juicy.
