Well...finally! Vacation time is here! Bob and I ...and Tessa...will leave in the morning for "parts unknown"...who knows....we may come through your town. Watch for this van and these two funny people that belongs to that beautiful PUPPY!
I know we will head EAST on I-10 and will stop in Oklahoma City to visit Bob's Brother and my former Sister in Law. After that...it's anybodys guess....
I will read here when I stop where there is a computer...or find a library!
Ya'll be good and may God keep you in his care until I see you again.
Love & Hugs
Jo/Roadrunner
RAMBLIN' WITH ROADRUNNER
Hey, you said you were visiting me while you're here! You'd better stop on by!
What happened to your trip West to see me??? I guess it got cancelled when Bob hurt his back. Oh well, you will always be welcome here when you do come this way.
Have a safe and fun trip.
Donna
Jo, if you're in our neck of the woods, stop on by!!! Ohio River, just west of Louisville. If you're on 64 heading east or west we're close....if you're on 65, near E'town, KY....we're close. Look us up. :) Kathy & Ralph Packard @ Misty Meadows Farm...Payneville
If you stay east on I-10, before you drive off into the Atlantic Ocean at Jacksonville, you can stop by and see me in Tallahassee, FL. Right on I-10, can't miss it! I can probably find a few weeds for you to pull so you'll feel right at home, pack your van with new plants, and give you some Southern home cooking. We have a spare bedroom, even have an empty dog run. And you can use my computer to get on DG!!!
Welcome!!!! : )
Jo,
From Oklahoma City, we are only about 70 miles east and a little south so if you end up going on east, please consider dropping in on us a spell. You would certainly be welcome!!! If your wanderings lead you in this direction, let me know and I will happily give you finding directions - would love to meet you and Bob. Happy travels & be safe!!!
have a safe trip!
Ya'll are just too kind. I have made a note of each invitation. Carla...I have the directions to your house...will call you when I get to Bob's Brother's house.
This is going to be a fun trip!
Jo
A dream come true, eh? ;>)
Ya'll drive careful and have fun!
Jo, Roadrunner, you named yourself very well. The grass sure doesn't grow under your feet. Have fun and a safe trip. I'll look in to see where you roost.
On the road again. Have a good time and be safe. I sure hope Tessa can keep you out of trouble.
Just got a phone call from Jo. She's safe and sound in the OKC area. I plan to take the girls to Bethany, OK (of all places) to have us a little visit. She said she has a little surprise for the girls. Well, I have a surprise for her, too. :)
Jo, you know Newark's a friendly spot, too! :)
Wow Carla, I can't believe she's there already. They must be moving on fast. Give her a big hug from me will ya please.
Donna
A SURPRISE!! WHEE.....We got here fine.....despite the crosswinds.; I think tomorrow we will head NORTH so we'[ll have a TAILWIND!! SoCal, Honey...sorry we didn't get there but we still plan to make it to CA NEXT! Thanks for the ((()))). Don't ya'll forget me while I am off the computer....LOL
If you're headed this way, I'd love to see you here in Ky...before Sept. RU.
Come by Paducah and we'll taKe y'all through the quilt Museum! Special VIP tour.
And......if you get to Melody's and head a little northeast, we'd love to see you too. Sorry, Tory's in TX though Jo. :( Gee, I could have had you stop and pick her up and bring her to me, LOL. Kathy :)
Jo and I met up today and had a lovely visit (albeit a short one) with her, Bob, and of course, Tessa. She even brought stuffed goodies for both of my girls.
In the picture, Bethany (age 11) is on the left, I'm next (a bit windblown), Kaley (age 4) is in my arms and Jo is holding Tessa.
It's always good to see another DG member and Jo is such a sweetie.
Wow looks like you had a great visit. Carla the girls have sure grown up. So is she moving on now? I think there are lots of surprise visits in the works.
Great picture Carla. :) Jo looks great, as usual. It looks like it was a beautifully windy day there, as it was here today.
Thanks for sharing. :) Kathy
Oh, it is good to see you all! Gosh, Bethany, you are so tall and you girls both have great smiles like your mamma. Jo, I can't believe how big Tessa's gotten!
Great picture looks like you were haveing a good visit.
Looks like the ramblin RR will be making a few stops in the next 2 days. She will be stopping in to see Badseed tomorrow evening. Then on to Ky Sat., which is the prom. So she will get to see my baby all dolled up.
Awwww, Kentucky? Is she coming up through our neck of the woods?
If Jo's in Ky, hoping she comes around our neck of the woods. Would love to see you Jo. Email me for my phone number. :) You could come and spend Mother's Day with us Jo!!! :) Take care, you are really moving along. Kathy
Hello....here I am in the Chicago Area....Carpentersville. Visiting an old friend from my younger days. We were neighbors when we lived in Va. Beach. If I had any more fun than I'm having it would be a CRIME! LOL Watch your back...I might be there. hehehe Jo, X Brug Killer
Jo, we are about 40 minutes from Corydon, IN (Interstate 64). If you think you might be in my neck of the woods, let me know and I can give you directions to the farm. I'd love for you to see the farm....then you can say you've been to Misty Meadows Farm, LOL.
Will you be taking I-64 to Badseeds? You can also take 64 past Louisville to Mystic's place and then North to Badseed's. She's not far from Mystic.
Food for thought, let me know. my email is mmfarm@bbtel.com and phone is 270-496-4218
Kathy @ Misty Meadows Farm
So where are the rambling couple now?? Should this be titled "Driving Ms. Roadrunner"? LOL
Carla, who's kids are those?? There is no way yours grew THAT fast!!
LOL Kathy! Do you know something about Jo's itenerary??
Just reading her travel notes, Bad. How's that baby doing? Jo said she was in Chicago a few posts back and I just thought......well, you see what I thought LOL....Met Jo at KY RU last year and she is a real gem!!! Wish Tory were here to see her, but she'll have to stop in TX on her way back home if she wants to see Tory...:)
LOL Kathy! A little bird told me she might be through here tonight. We are on the lookout. Jo is a wonderful woman! She has jumped in to be G'ma to my kids that don't have any grandparents. We met her first two years ago at the KY RU and her son and DIL were gracious enough to let us stay in their home. A few months later she and Cala and Carol stayed the night with us. DG is sure a crazy place where anything can happen, where strangers become the best of friends. ;)
I agree with that and some DGers are very strange. LOL But most I've met are absolutely wonderful and I call y'all family! :) Happy Day, Kathy
And you haven't met me yet. ;) Maybe I fall into the strange category....LOL
I talked to Jo last night and they had some car troubles were about to get back on the road. She said if I didn't hear back from her by 8 last night, she'd be here in the morning. No word yet. Anyone else heard from her?
Before anyone gets worried....I just heard from Jo and she is about a mile from here and will be here in a few minutes. :)
Oh, have a wonderful time. I have come down with some stomach bug and have been very, very sick since 4 a.m. I would love to see Jo if she were to head this way, but I don't want her to get sick. Today wouldn't be good, I ache all over and wouldnt' be good company :( Dang it!
OK....Here I am...being hugged by the pretties girls in the world!!! Having tea with my favorite "Tea Party Girl", Morganne. I got to hold Maddy too.
Misty, sorry our travels don't take us in your direction. See you at the fall KY RU!
YOOHOO....PEGGY! We'll see you this evening ...(fair warning??) Jo
Well Jo and Bob have come and left (several hours ago actually. We had to go to a soccer game.) I am sure they and Tessa will never be the same. My kids went *grandparent* nuts and the two of them will have aches and pains from lifting them and all the hugging. LOL I bet they are thankful for less than perfect hearing as well! There was an all dog alert and well 10 people in one room, um, six of them being kids, it *might* have been a bit loud. Well, here's Jo and the girls. :)
Great picture! That Jo is something else and Madelynne is getting big! :)
Jo, nope you won't see me at the KY RU this year. :( We have 3 farmers' markets this year, stores to deliver to and our CSA, so we will be running ragged. We are about 3 hours west of Mystic. Sorry we missed you. Have a wonderful rest of the trip. BTW, how is Janice?
What a truly beautiful photo - absolutely wonderful!
Happy Mom's Day in advance :)
How are YOU, Kathy? Feeling better?
