groundcover and mulch

I'm going to plant some verbena, carpet geranium etc. If I wait to mulch after planting will it spread on top of the mulch? It would be quite difficult to mulch AFTER planting. Suggestions please? Thanks!

I would think they'll spread just fine over mulch, Dale. I think it's easier planting after mulching, especially if the plants/holes are small.
