Reliable Caladium info?

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

We have several Caladium cultivar images in the Plants Database and with warm temperatures right around the corner, more pictures are bound to be pouring in soon (which would be a nice problem to have.)

But....it seems the one constant theme in the Caladium world is inconsistency. I spent quite a bit of time this afternoon comparing images from three major Caladium growers' websites, and the same cultivars appear radically different from one another. (To the point where I don't feel confident relying on ANY of them without an independent verification.)

Is anyone aware of a good growers' guide (with images and good descriptions) of the many Caladium cultivars? Online, printed, doesn't matter - I just need to get my hands on SOMETHING that can be trusted for accuracy. Any help is welcome!!!

About a month ago, I went through a caladium obsessed stage :) So, during my research I did a lot of comparisons of websites. I decided that this site is the best when it comes to range and accuracy. http://www.happinessfarms.com/index.html

art_n_lover, thanks. I came to the same conclusion you did, and agree they're *probably* most accurate. But I'm reluctant to accept theirs over the other commercial sites until I can compare (and match) their images to someone else's. I'm still holding out hope that someone somewhere has put together a good commercial grower's guide for Caladiums, or something similar.

Thanks, MaVie. Unfotunately, these three companies (Happiness Farms, Caladium World and Caladium Bulb Co.) are the three that I tried comparing to one another, and their images of the same cultivars are so different, I don't have a lot of confidence in any of them. I'm still hoping against hope that there is a grower's guide "out there somewhere" ;o)

Buddy's Caladium Farm, the one from our Co-Op.......and I have researched about every web page there is on them. Problem is they don't all carry the exact same cultivars, and I can guarantee you a lot of the pictures have been enhanced on a lot of the sites.
