Killing Invasive Vines
Grab some Zip lock bags, stuff several vine ends into the bags, spray with RoundUp and zip up to the stem. It protects neighboring plants and gives lots of travel time for the RoundUp to do its thing. Sure death for Morning Glory.
I got this in my Big Dipper newsletter...great idea!
Hey, that is a good idea - thanks for posting it!
dalep6- thanks for the tip[. i've been trying to get rid of a thin vinelike beast for over 3 years that keeps growing up and over my liliac bush. i'll get the sucker this time. thanks again.
That is a real good idea, DP6. Here's one my Dad taught me. When windy conditions make overspray a dangerous possibility, mix the Roundup in a 5 gallon bucket and apply it to low growing weeds with an old paint roller. Works great on driveways, brick walks, etc.
Those cheap foam paint brushes are good for dabbing on a little Roundup, too - just make enough for a quart jar and dab it on a few leaves of the offending plants.
