Woohoo, we are getting lots and lots of rain here in NC and I couldn't be happier! I told my kids today that my rose bushes and newly sprouted perennials have their heads turned toward the heavens and their arms spread wide to soak up all the glory. They thought it was funny, one of my daughters said if they didn't watch it, they'd drown, she's a wiseguy.
Ok, so we got a bit of hail too, but more rain than hail ;) I was happy about it and wanted to share....yeah I know cheap thrills! LOL

RAIN!!! GLORIOUS RAIN!!!
We could sure use a bit more!
Did you go out and dance around with your arms in the air and the rain in your face?
Nah MaryE, I passed on that since it was also thundering and lightening and I didn't want my happy happy rain dance to be my last LOL
It wasn't enough, but it sure did help a little, today the sun is shining and I just know those plants out there are gonna show off now :)

its been railing all day today and may get the same for friday and saturday.
They say we need the rain and I'm not one to complain, but ... yesterday, today, friday and saturday ... groan ... might have snow flurries on sunday or monday. So far up to 5+ inches. My backyard is now a pond, I'm praying it won't come into the basement (we have a high water table) and looks like white water rapids flowing down the street - haven't seen it like this ever! Soooo, who did the rain dance?
All this rain we've had made the daylilies I had all covered up push their blankets off. I just want the warm weather back!
And sunshine too!
As much as I wanted all the mud to dry up 2 weeks ago, we now need rain. I hope it starts here soon, or I might feel inclined to bring out the hoses!

I was weeding tonight after school, and was thinking the same thing... I need to water! LOL
Amazing how the mud dries up so quick
We are getting more today...supposed to last for several days and then sunshine! I told my DH that everything looks so green outside. Growth will jump off now, we are quickly approaching our last spring frost date, a week from tomorrow...can't wait for warmer weather.

We have rain/snow (yes, but who needs snow in April?) in our forecast over the next 10 days or so. That doesn't mean we will get a lot of moisture, but we might get some, maybe enough to make newly planted fields germinate, some grass grow, and give some newly transplanted things a few days to get settled in before warm days return. The temps will be below freezing for several nights, it seems that winter isn't quite done with us yet.
