I have known of the value of manure tea, but today on Paul James' show he mentioned you can get manure tea bags to 'brew' yourself... no mess, no smell, and all the benefits.
A Google search turned up worm castings tea bags (which Paul mentioned) and also one site that has worm castings plus bat guano, seabird guano, and soluble seaweeds in their teabags.

Learned something new today!
I saw that, too!
darius: Thanks for those websites! Have tried making manure tea once or twice.....BUT, it was so messy and smelly that I gave up on it! (despite the benefits of using it for my plants.)
The plants flourished when I used the manure tea...but I just couldn't stand the stink!!! Perhaps those websites are the solution. :-)
Gardens Alive recently had a coupon for "spend $25 and get $50 worth of merchandise". So they had a Compost Tea kit for $24.95 that I got *free* (sort of). It includes a 5 gallon plastic reservoir, an air pump (think fishtank) and airstone, and some worm castings teabags to start the tea. I think I'll only use it as a foliar spray outside, even if it doesn't stink I'm sure it would be messy indoors.

Earthworm castings make a great manure tea. AND there is no smell. I just add a small scoop of castings to my watering cans and let them sit overnight.
For the heavy duty stuff, I use a mixture of cow & chicken manure and earthworm castings. I make mine in large containers that have spigot or tap on the bottom - - let them steep for 3 or 4 days - - and then drain off what I need. I find that if I use aged manure, don't allow it sit in the sun and use my tea within a couple of weeks - - I don't have a bad odor problem.
Wow, that's pretty neat, Darius. Sure wouldn't want to mix up those teabags with ones for inside!
