I just received the catalog from my favorite local plant place. Such wonderful goodies and I can drive over and save lots. This is a couple who started out selling at the Farmers' Market and kept putting up plastic row houses for their perennials. They carry over 500 hostas--now if I just liked hostas>> but I have lots of others marked. Anyone have any inside info on a lottery?? LOL
Got my catalog, now have to win the lottery
I wish! and those lottery people are so unfair.....they make you BUY a ticket in order to win!!!
I guess that I will never win. I've never bought a ticket.
me either!
Hosta... Did you say HOSTA???? LOL
What is the name of your favorite local plant place??
sue
Sue, The name of the place is the Flower Factory in Oregon WI--it is Wonderful. The have trough gardens, also a small waterpond and flowers, so that you can see many of the things that you buy-in a garden site. Then you get a little red wagon and wander around the rowhouses and look and poke and buy--oh, by the way-did I mention Buy?? Most of the plants are in four inch pots, some are in a 6 inch pot.--They are all healthy plants, many (esp. in the later season, have bud stalks.
They have perennials from Acanthus (2 varieties of Bear's Breeches) to 2 varieties of Zizia(Alexanders-related to parsley-never heard of it til I checked for this note. I am available for more info.
Kooger, I have even purchased a ticket-No $$$$$$$$-I think that that was pretty cheeky of them to take my $ and not let me win--see if I do that again.
I agree, Marcia! The utter nerve of them folks just galls me!!!
