The Dragon has awakened
Ooooh - sprouts! There's nothing like seeing green sprouts, is there?
Wowzers! Is it a stinky bloom?
Yowsers! Its a stinky stinky bloom!!!
Now I know what I have coming up in my beds!!! YEAH.... Last winter I purchased a number of these bulbs and planted them as soon as I got them. I planted very deep because of the time of the year. In the spring they never showed up. I assumed they froze.
I guess they were just dormant for a year.... I'm so excited.
tropic man is that a real scorpion in the back ground i see ?
Only if your strectch armstrong! LOL! Plastic bugs are all over my garden, when the Movie Bugs came out,I had to put them all over the garden for the grandkids to enjoy!

Bonnie
Cool lookin' plant~! When does it usually bloom and fill the air with it's unique "perfume"....."ode de roadkill"????
That looks great, I had never heard of that plant. Cool..
Don, mine are waking up in the basement. I'm praying for cool weather so they don't make it to bloom stage before I can put them outside. Do you think they would survive over the winter in my zone?
Brugie,I think they would if you mulch them real good, were only one zone apart, and I didn't mulch mine all that well this year.
Thanks. I'm sure they would grow better in the ground than in a pot and maybe I'll try them both ways. Appreciate the help.
Those plants remind me of that new Travelocity commercial with the garden gnome. He says "I love a stinky cheese. A pungent...ghastly...stinky cheese".
And don't forget your hat.
I have two Dranculas, can't remember the variety but they have dark green leaves with white mottling. When the snow went off last week, I noticed they were both up and quite leafy. Now, of course, they are back under about a foot of snow. I wonder if I never see the flower because of the snow? Only once have I known that they flowered and that was after a very mild winter.
