hi everyone,.. i am just SOOOO tickled to have gotten this today for our Anniv. coming in march... isn't it darling!!!!!

another angle of the swing.. the lanterns are oil fueled and work and the half round things in the pics are horse shoes... i will paint the chains black and weave rope thru them like a swag...(: its not staying where it is in this pic , i will move it where we have BBQ's... (: i just love it!!!!

thank u so much for all ur happy wishes!(: it will be 8 years, we never used to really do anything or get each other anything when our Anniv. would come around but now after some things we have been thru we sure do celebrate it now..lol ...
no countrygarden, these are not commercially made.. they are hand made.. althought i dont know if there is something that cuts the metal out for the scenes ontop... the guy had a big flatbed trailer with like 8 of them on there all with different country scenes ontop.. the guy is out of Oklahoma... he said he was heading back home but gave me his card... he has no website... but has a cel phone.... i was leaving yesterday and got "stuck" behind him on our country road... well i didnt mind (even with him doing 15mph) my sister and i were trying to figure out what in the world he had on that flatbed.. then we figured it out and both of us screamed!!!! lol ... we passed him on the wider road ahead and gave him a thumbs up on his swings... well turns out my hubby was right behind us and when we passed him hubby got behind him... at the end of the road i pulled over and hubby did too ... he said he had a feeling he was gonna be introuble if he didnt stop also.. the guy pulled over and hubby went to talk with him while my sister and i were dieing over the swings... hubby came back and said 'Happy Anniv. babe, pick the one u want ', again i screamed and did a happy dance...lolol, it was pure luck that we ran into this guy.. but if anyone one wants his phone number email me and i'll send it to ya..(: i cant wait to see the lanterns lit up!!!! (:

Chrissy, I really need to show this to DH. LOL. Our anniversary is in March too, on the 17th and I think I know what I want now. LOL That is a beautiful swing and your a lucky woman with a hubby like that.

Herbie43, well... kinda my back yard.. more like my side yard , although my back yard has less flat land before we hit our hill ...lol .. on the second pic, that pile of dirt u see off into the distance, (its actually a pile of sand) thats where our house is going... we are building our home.. we bought this property 3 years ago and it didnt have anything on it but weeds.... we have done alot although it doesnt look like it , but it has been a loooooong ride these 3 years.. we dont have a loan , so we can only do what we can afford at the time... thats why its taking us soooo long to just now start building... that and alllll the permit requirements and fees,.. anyway , its a 20 acre parcel... 15 of it is fenced off for our two horses to graze.. which saves us a small fortune every month... anyway , i just put a varnish type of stuff on the wood today... and the wheels looks even better... i'll take a pic and see if it shows the difference and if it does i'll post it... (:

MaryE, lolol... ur right THAT WAS ME!!!!! lol i was suprised it wasnt on the news ! lol.. speaking of earthquakes, we havent had a big one here for a while.. hmmmm... i prefer alot of small ones to the once in a while big ones... had any good sized ones up there lately?? i am pretty close to the san andres fault.. and we havent had one from there for a while...
