Color in the garden

Mount Angel, OR(Zone 8a)

I like to raise cutflowers for church and weddings. Last year my overall color to focus on was red because of my DD's wedding. Now this year another DD is getting married and her color is pink. But I also have discovered that I think pink is going to be pretty popular for weddings. Just take a look at the clothing stores. So I am going to plant extra pink. How does color impact your gardening and how you plant? Do you have favorite colors in the garden.

I used to have what I called my blue and silver garden which doesn't exist anymore and I planted one area in yellows ; another in pinks but I don't tend to do that anymore. I could certainly see where it could be very pretty.

I like multi color throughout, however, I am attracted to the hot colors like yellow, orange, and red. Since most of my garden is new, I will be seeing the color placements etc. for the first time. When I was buying my daylilies last year (I went to a local nursery every two weeks for the season so that I could see the different daylilies in bloom), I avoided the color yellow because I kept gravitating to it and figured I had already bought several. When I got around to planning the placement of the colors, I found that in this attempt to not have too much yellow, I bought only one! So, of course, I had to quickly remedy this! It will be interesting to see if I went overboard in any one color or area!
