I'm finally ready to take a few classes this fall. I am very into learning more about hort. I've been a landscaper for about three years now with a small company here in Canandaigua and also for some of the golf courses around. I am very interested in it and have aspirations about organically growing veggies in my area. Not much of that around here. What classes should I look into. I would be at a beginner level. I have to get going though with my paperwork and don't know where to start... any help would be greatly appreciated.
Question about school....
hpluver - maybe you should check out the master gardner forum and ask them.
Both the NY Botanical Garden and the Brooklyn Botanical Garden have really great programs. I would look them up first. Good luck!
One is www.nybg.org and the other is www.bbg.org
hpluver- i am sure that your ny botanical garden will have loads of information for you. don't forget to check out your local library and a subscription or two to organic gardening magazine and the national gardening club i find very helpful. is there a county extension near you? if so check them out. :>)
