Albany (again), NY(Zone 5b)

I'll bet the daylilies are all napping under the snow. I'm so looking forward to seeing your garden next summer!

Hobart, IN(Zone 5a)

It's beautiful but lonely looking. I know that you can't wait for it to spring to life!

Hanover Park, IL(Zone 5a)

I think one of the things I enjoy about gardening is the company of the plant life...sounds strange, doesn't it. But while it is solitude, I am never lonely with so much life around me.
winter is a lonely time in the yard, so barren, unkept...the bird's chatters are a reminder that there is life...
Oh, I'm getting too sentimental. Solar deprivation. How can anything live in 5 degree weather?

Spokane, WA(Zone 5b)

I spent 3 winters in central Michigan (Owosso). OUCH was it cold there!

So.App.Mtns., United States(Zone 5b)

Your greenhouse COULD look kind of forlorn, but with the tracks in the snow leading out to it, it looks rather inviting! Nice shot.

Proctorville, OH(Zone 5b)

Even tho it is cold, I see you've been out walking around....LOL

Beatiful photo.
Lotsadirt- I know how you feel. I use to dread winter until I met an arborist who inspired me to learn how to id. a tree from it's branching habit, bark and buds. It took me a while and lot's of books and many walks. but now I can tell the different trees apart, I have "company" in the winter too.

Oh, that last shot's really great! How nice to have that tropical retreat in the dead of winter. It's going to get down to 7 tonight (a heat wave to you, no doubt).

Brewers, KY(Zone 6b)

wow, i'd give anything to just see all that white stuff in person...just to touch it, play in it...wow...sigh

Baker City, OR(Zone 5b)

Here is some more of that white stuff for Lisa. Really folks, there is a flower bed under that drift next to the fence. Beside the house I have a strip about 3 ft wide under heavy cardboard, waiting for spring and plants to replace the quack grass.
