It was for me as a fairly new gardener. Gives you a way to calculate how many cubic yards you need if you are having soil, mulch, compost etc delivered to your home.

Thanks, that is very usefull information. I see it isn't just my imagination that my wheelbarrow full of compost feels very heavy. According to this a cubic yard of compost weighs 600 to 2000 pounds. Oooof!
