Found my seed pods and it was almost 50 degrees so I went out and scratched up the front of the bed and squished up the seed pods and shook out the little black seeds and voila! I planted my first plants for spring!
Hurrah!
I planted poppies today
Good for you! I wish I could but we have snow, wind, drifts, well you get the picture.
Mary last year I planted my poppies by sprinkling them on top of the snow and they came up just fine right beside my iris... :)
They like to get cold you know!
Fear not
It is too cold to even want to go outside here in WA zone 5. The temp right now is about 15 degrees and will get colder. The wind is out of the north bringing us more cold. there is probably 5 or 6 inches of snow out there. Well anyway the days are getting longer. Donna
