I am considering ordering these plants . . .
Anyone have any experience or advice postitive or negative regarding the following plants:
Kalmia 'Dick Jaynes'
Alstoemeria 'Freedom'
Weigela 'Wine and Roses'
Spiraea japonica 'Shibori'
Asclepias incarnata 'Soulmate'
Thanks!
A penny for your thoughts on these . . .
I would love to have Wine and Roses Weigela. I have grown Asclepias incarnata 'Soulmate' very nice plant, loved the blooms, so did the monarch caterpillars as it is a host plant. The others I am not too familiar with.
Kalmia never grow for me, they just do not transplant well; however, they grow everywhere in NJ and PA in the wild!
Weigela 'wine and roses' is fabulous, I'd move that to the top of your list!
Thanks John -- I am definitely going to go with the Weigela 'Wine and Roses' and also the dwarf version of that called 'Midnight Wine'. Also thinking of getting the varigated 'French lace' too.
Good choices!
