10 for 2 Bucks

Austell, GA(Zone 7a)

Ponditis, your fudge sounds yummmmmy. Will you share the recipe? Like we need it, too. A lady at work made something - cook butter and sugar, slivered almonds with a layer of hersheys and nut sprinkles. We are going to try making that today.

lagrange, GA(Zone 7a)

Oranges here also. I like the temple orange however. Just now hit the grocery shelves here. I bought 16 yesterday.

Kelli you brought back some wonderful memories with the cheese in the coffee. My mother used to take a big hunk of cheese and put in her coffee. Back in those days coffee was made in a double boiler type pot that was heated on the stove. The coffee had lot of grounds in it. The grounds would be all in the cheese. She said the coffee grounds made the cheese better. If we ran out of cheese she would start on the peanut butter. Do you have coffee in the mug or just the cheese alone?

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Coke or Pepsi...then there are Hoho's,Petridge Farms Sasalito cookies,Hersheys candy bars with Almonds......

I'd loose about 1000 calories a day if I quit the soda but Diet stuff gags me.......

Western, PA(Zone 6a)

Diet pop seems a little better if it is no caffine. The caffine is hard to take with any diet drink.

And who can say no to the Girl Scout on the porch? Better make it 4 boxes, since she won't be back 'til next year.

Payneville, KY(Zone 7a)

Only 4 boxes? One year my girls were both selling cookies and several of their friends....I bought about $50 worth of GS cookies and put them in the fridge. :) Kathy

Silver Lake, OH(Zone 5b)

clementines...

peanutbutter on celery...

grape tomatoes, I eat them till they are gone and my mouth is sore

pumpkin roll, the kind you roll up in cheesecloth and store in the fridge for about 15 minutes then have to take back out and cut off more

and... Claxton Georgia dark fruitcake -I daresn't buy one because I shall eat it all by myself and it is about a gazillion calories in a tiny one... hardly any cake, just fruit and nuts in there,,, YUMMY!

Western, PA(Zone 6a)

The grape tomato has always been a meeting place in our neighborhood block. The neighbor in back always has several plants. Soooo sweet!!!

I guess I had better shell out more bucks for the GS cookies. They will be saying the people over there are cheap. They only buy 4 boxes.LOL Kinda like only one miniture candy bar for the trick or treat bag.

Payneville, KY(Zone 7a)

Hmmm, I always get the big candy bars, but then we get few or no children here for trick or treat...guess who eats them....And I meant to say I freeze them. They freeze real well for a few days, because they didn't last much longer than that between the kids and me. :)

L.A. (Canoga Park), CA(Zone 10a)

Georgiaredclay, it's just cheese in the coffee mug, and no coffee.

Now my drink of choice, that is probably grape juice, but not with cheese.

Lewisville, MN(Zone 4a)

Yummy! I think I gained some weight just reading these posts!

Must have cookies & milk before bedtime!

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Chocolate stars...with popcorn. :)

(Sue) South Central, IA(Zone 5a)

Don't do it anymore, but used to devour vanilla ice cream and Doritos. Makes me long for it just by bringing it up.

Albany (again), NY(Zone 5b)

Oreos, oreos, oreos. If there is a bag, I will eat them until they are gone (get two, go back for another one, then two more, then another one, another one). Esp. the double stuffed ones. Butter Nut Balls (the round cookie with nuts butter sugar and flour rolled in powder sugar.) Sigh - that and pecan pie. It's been a tough holiday month with sweets.

So, we can't keep these things around the house. Fortunately, Doug loves Swiss Cake Rolls, and I have to be truly desperate for a sweet to eat those. I have eaten maybe one in the past year.

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

I don't think there's a sweet treat I don't like, with the exception of fruit pie. I like Hostess fruit pies, but not most regular, home-made fruit pie. Give me cream pie if I have pie at all. *sigh*

Cedar Rapids, IA(Zone 5a)

Never met a choclate I didn't like--guess that's why I'm over-weight & diabetic! I can wear it off easily in the summer just gardening. The inactivity of winter is a pit for me...

Belleville, IL(Zone 6b)

Just give me pretzels and a container of cream cheese! I love to get those mini pretzels and just skim them over a block of cream cheese. My husband doesn't like cream cheese at all so I get to just use it from the box and stick it back into the refrigerator.
I used to make batches of the chex mix when I was a cook in a daycare. It was funny to see the children at snack time separating all the different ingredients and then eating them.

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Yum, that sounds really good, too. Okay, y'all have to see this, considering the topic. The site may not come up for you for a day or two if you've never visited my website before, so be patient and try back: http://mt.gardenwife.com/archives/000438.html

Cedar Rapids, IA(Zone 5a)

LOL ! Yup, I seem to put it on this time of the year too. It's too cold to play in my garden & I'm too lazy to do much else!
