I'm sure there is instructions somewhere, but I don't know where, to make seed packets with a picture of what is inside on the packet???? I'd also be interested in how to make labels with a tiny thumbnail of the plant on it?? I'd like to give some as Christmas presents and thought this would be a nice touch!! Thanks, Legit

Thank you so much, Happenstance and Tc. I will probably use the Christmas ones for now because I won't have time to learn the other ones, but Happenstance you will be hearing from me, I will need some help here!! Thanks again, Legit
I use mostly plastic bags regularly, anyone know how to do the labels w/a pic? Or growing instructions? Thanks! Legit

The theory of doing the labels w/picture is basically the same as the seed packets....just a whole lot smaller. I use a P-Touch label maker to make labels for metal plant markers and found that the image is too small to be of any benefit. Sometimes just fitting the name on a label can be challenging.
What size/kind of labels are you using? Depending on the type of label you want an image might work. If it is for decorative purposes the seed packet could be modified to make a large stand-up label for gift giving.
As far as the instructions on the seed packet, that's part and parcel of making the packets. I chose not to put formal instructions on the packets, because growing conditions are so different from zone to zone. Most places Datura tatula for example is an annual, but here in 9b I still have seed pods ripening on a growing plant.
Here's an example of a single packet with instructions, this image would then be rotated & reproduced 3 times to fit on a standard piece of paper or rotated & reproduced 3 times, then saved as a different image which saves space on the page. These packets can be made smaller or larger within reason without losing clarity using this same image as desired.

I use coin envelopes and just print right on them.No cutting, folding or pasting. They go right in my printer and voila! Instant seed packs.
I use the manilla colored ones and old fashioned graphics,as I'm an heirloom grower, but white is available if you wish.
I'm going to go into my Print shop program and see if I can post an image of one here. Will post another reply if I can figure out how to do it.
