only thing i can suggest is that no spraythat smells bad to dogs and cats, you get it at the pet store, or Jeffers.com or DRsfosterandsmith.com but there isn't any garantee it will work.

Brundidge, AL(Zone 8b)

That's quite a tree, springsong.

One year I decorated my large ficus benjaminus in place of a conifer.

There was a thread last year where people posted lots of photos of their trees.

Toadsuck, TX(Zone 7a)

Just put it up yesterday.........grandkids decorated it. I think they did a beautiful job.....not to mention the wear and tear on these old bones.

Both trees are beautiful. Going to cut down your own looks like so much fun, I miss a live tree. I purchased a new tree and all the ornament supplies at the end of last January at bargain basement prices. I didn't open the box or make up the ornaments. I packed it all away for the season and decided to surprise myself with how it would look.

On Thanksgiving I start to worry that maybe the tree was not going to be complete or the ornaments would look stupid, or something. Friday, I pulled my stuff out and made up the ornaments. I decorated everything on Saturday and I am pleased. I must have had a plan after all, I just forgot!

These are great! Wow, what a colorful and big tree, Springsong! Eyes, I like the musical notes on yours. Branka, a surprise tree, huh? The butterflies are awesome! Our big tree is up in the living room, but all that's on it is lights so far.

The fish have their tree up:

that's a cute tree garden wife I never could get those little trees too look good you did a great Job!!

I have our main tree already posted somewhere in this forum, but here is one that I have set up in the bathroom and then ThanksGiving day the grandkids decorated another Christmas tree that is set up in the living room and have another smaller tree set up in our bedroom. Yes, every room of our house is decorated for the holidays. Now, who is willing to come over after the holidays to help take down and put away? Any volunteers?
We also have the outside of the house decorated and the yard as well.
I really don't want to see January's electric bill; really I don't.

please CoCo~~ post us a picture of your yard!! my mother always does her yard she goes all out has lights on the roof and everything, she had bought two yard derr and a sleigh that moved the year my daddy died and some one came in her yard the very first night and stole it,he died in June that year so this was a big depressing thing on top of that she was trying to sink her self into christmas as usaul to help with the grief,so i talked her into buying some more last year, we hooked up a electric fence to them!! needless to say they stayed in the yard!! it really looks good not as bad as National lampoons christmas !!LOL

This is the grandkids 'play' tree that they decorated ThanksGiving Day. All the ornaments are homemade ceramic and wooden ornaments. What I mean by 'play' tree; when they come over, they are allowed to take ornaments off and play with them and then put them back on the tree when they are finished playing.

The main tree.

Springsong; I just put in a new film in the camera, so once it is finished and get it developed, I will post pictures.

Thanks you guys!

Posted this in another thread, but here it is again....DH calls this an "odd" tree.....the ornaments are those clear glass balls that you dribble craft paint into and end up with multicolored "marble" looking ornaments.

Love that tree Happenstance!

Actually it is meant to be a tree....can also be used as an "Egg Tree" for Easter, a "May Day" tree with ribbons and flowers, a fall tree with pumpkins/squash/little acorns/leaves.....multi-tasking kind of tree.

It does knockdown, each branch can be removed, and the trunk is in sections also, so it is easy to store, but I left it up all year in an upstairs guest-room decorated with girlie/Paris kind of ribbons and lace.

I've gotten several emails asking where I got it....came from a Harvet Home Stores location in Emeryville, CA at the after holiday sale last season. I thought they had a website, but couldn't locate it this morning.

My wee tree...I put the yard stick up behind it to show how tall it is...the yard stick fell and I forgot about it....Tessa chewed off one inch of it!! I love that puppy though...LOL Jo
