Anyone got a good way of thinning these monsters without killing yourself? Hacking away with a digging bar is too much like work.
Thinning Bird of Paradise
wish I was near you Id come over and do it for you for one of them. Ive never had any to thin so dont know what to tell you except get a big shovel and go deep then pull. Sorry thats probrably not very helpful.
What about the garden fork thing with the prongs? Insert it straight into the clump, then rock back and forth?
Thanks guys. The lady has let this one get so big that I am thinking backhoe. lol She has let it get way out of hand.
