Any guesses on which SEED COMPANY catalogue will wind up in our mail boxes first? If I remember from last year, my first was the Monday after Thanksgiving.
1st Seed Catalogue
I got Thompson & Morgan 2 or 3 weeks ago.
NoH2O, Thompson-Morgan is always the first one to arrive here also. Usually in late November. They keep rolling back the calendar so as to be first. I know I will be ordering a bunch from them. It's been too long since I have bought anything for the garden. And they know how our minds work. I am especially interested in new varieties/cultivars that can be grown with the winter sowing method. I have avoided a lot of seed before because of the length of time they required in the fridge. Should be an interesting 'winter' season.
I've already gotten three or four, over the past few weeks.
I think the catalog folks have decided to all start issuing them earlier.
Golddog, I am going to try winter sowing too. I have never done it before but it sounds great for many of things I like to grow.
I also bought a heat mat on sale. I have wanted one forever so that will be fun. I am thinking of starting double impatiens and lisianthus. Since I will be winter sowing so many of my seeds I will have more room indoors for the ones that need warmth.
Only from my experience- Lisianthus are really slow. Start them early. I think December or January.
Edited for spelling.

I am aiming for January. I have read that they take a loooong time to get going. I would try for December but I am trying to be realistic here! I still have a lot more fall cleanup to do.
