When using insecticidal soap to get rid of mealy bugs, do I need to rinse the plant afterward? I had the bugs on a plant and I doused the leaves with slightly soapy water. Well, all the leaves turned brown pretty quickly and fell off. AHHHHH! Thoughts?
soap how-to
seems I remember something about soap and full sun ... like, you shouldn't spray it on them in full sun on sunny days ...
Also, tender new foliage might not like it either.
Someone who knows more will come along.
Cheri'
VA, I assume you're using someting like Safer's product. If so, be sure to use soft or distilled water when mixing. From what I've read, spray in the evening and rinse in the morning.
