Geez girl, you take great pictures. If I looked like that, and believe me, it has been thirty years since those days, I'd not be so upset about putting my picture on here. I had to just grit my teeth and do it. I finally figured out a year or two ago that things aren't going to reverse. It is unfortunate, but it happens. LOL!! Nice to see you.
Shirley
I like this thread. It gives posts a personal note when you can put a face to a name.
Great Picture Bambi I don't know what you were worried about you look great Nice to finally meet you

Kaufmann,
I'm not from Huntington. I was born and raised here in S.C.and still live here.
I have family and friends up in that area and go up once maybe twice a year to visit them. I really do like it up there though and wouldn't mind living there. I'd have to get used to those short growing seasons and the cold temps.
That picture was made in front of the fountain at Ritter Park in Huntington.
I grew up a block from Ritter Park on 13th Ave. Small world. Its one of the prettiest places I know in the Spring with the dogwoods and azaleas magnolias in bloom. Thanks for your reply --Gretchen
Gee, did we get photos of everyone before the chat?
Maybe we need Chapter 2?
Wow Gourd - - look at all those gourds in the background. Plus, it is nice to see your smiling face!
gourd, so nice to meet you!!
Holy Cow girl, that is a lot of gourds!! You look so cute in your hat. Bet you were having a great time.
I do not think I have ever seen gourds. What do you do with them? Are they just decorative? It is odd to me that so many would be grown in So. California. They must like heat. Do you eat them?
The gourds were my introduction to gardening, got hurt at work, had to stay home, so I decided to grow some gourds for the birds (birdhouses), then, had such a failure crop, that I decided to get help (on the Web) and found everybody ... and got my name. three 1/2 years later here I am hooked on Growing gourds..
Don't let that hat fool you, all my gray hair is under there.. have four grandchildren and two grown adult children..
The gourds can be painted, carved, burned, you name it.. Welburn Gourd Farm has some good art links for the . They even make dolls.. lookie here.. and other things, chickens, roosters.. santas.. x-mas ornaments.. check out Dave's Gourd forum.. It will addict you just like Brugs do.. I hate it..
Shows you what I know.....or rather not know, Gourd! LOL. So what are you going to do with the gourd you picked out? I didn't even know Dave's had a gourd forum. Unfortunately, I am not the arts and crafts type. No talent! But I know how to buy other's creations well!
Oh, I love the gourd chickens!
Heheheh ! Just wait till CC sees them ;~P

I love the chicken gourds too lol :-)
Im waiting for someone to scan my Glamour shots pic, the real me might scare you. LOL
Oh my gosh, I love those gourd chickens. Are they just decorative or made into birdhouses? That is a got to have, either way.
Oh well, sure is worth it to see these gourds!
I had said we needed a new one anyway, lol!
Now that is one happy looking couple! Great to meet you both.
The gourd rooster is adorable. Love all that stuff.
Congrats on 32 years Fishcookie. Gourd that is one incredible looking rooster. Love seeing everyone photo's.

Can a REFORMED Brug Killer get in here?? I have kept one alive for over 6 weeks now!!
This is me and my new, sweet, destructive puppy, Countessa...you may call her Tessa. The marks on my arms and hands are due to her little claws and feet....and blood thinners!
It is nice to see so many new faces here....we have done this on one of the other forums too.
Jo
Awwwwww Joe your "Tessa" is so cute, all these little pets Im seeing, I want one now *sigh*...
Nice to meet you Jo :-)
Julie
Hi Jo,
I've wanted to meet you for a long time. Great picture. I have the marks on my arms too, but from pine needles and rose thorns along with medication. Cute little Tessa looks like she wouldn't intensionally hurt a flea. Very nice meeting everyone through their pictures on this thread.
Joe, your Tessa is so pretty. I confess to a great weakness for wiggly, licky little dachshund puppies. I am allergic to pets. But I am still a sucker for dogs.
