jcf's round robin rules and routes

Maben, MS(Zone 7b)

Delsia, yes I do have your address and the package is in the mail to you as I write this. I just had a senior moments, you will understand some day. LOL

Lakemont, GA(Zone 8a)

Mollybee, please make my month by telling me the seeds have arrived safe and sound!!!!!!! My fingers are soooo crossed!!!!

Wildwood, FL(Zone 9a)

Yardbird: I must have had a senior moment because I never knew why you sent me a Christmas Card, but I thought it was really nice of you. My Mother thought it was nice of you too. (I think Mother would like more Christmas cards).

Villa Rica, GA(Zone 7a)

I just checked todays mail, and there is still no sign of it :( I was so looking forward to it too.

Janet what can we do??

Lakemont, GA(Zone 8a)

I have a few packs of seeds that I got from other trades that I will be happy to send. I will also be happy to pay for their "replacement" even though I know they can't really be replaced. LMK what I can do. I haven't had something lost in the mail in YEARS!!!! I feel so bad about this. I 'm so sorry !!!!!!! - DEBBIE

Brooklet, GA(Zone 8a)

i am going to say this again, be patient. my daughter just got the priority box today that i mailed last monday.

i am not sure why you mailed it ups instead of thru the post office but just don't panic. go back to the ups store and try and find out what has happened to it. it may be sitting on a shelf like my daughter package was.

Tellico Plains, TN(Zone 7b)

I believe all UPS packages can be tracked. I do it all the time =)

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

I dont know that she mailed them UPS... they have a "UPS Store" they mail regular mail also. (this is what I got from her post??)

Tellico Plains, TN(Zone 7b)

ooops!

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

lol SB!!!

Villa Rica, GA(Zone 7a)

Not sure how it works in the UPS but in the regular Post Office you have to pay extra for the Confirmation/Tracking thing.

Berrygirl, did you send it regular mail? or was it sent thru UPS? Other than a credit card reciept did they give you any other kind of reciept?

Lakemont, GA(Zone 8a)

I sent it "regular mail" {you can do that there} from the UPS store that is near where I work and shop. It is much closer that the PO, which is several mi. away. I didn't get anything other than a credit slip where I paid with my card. I have since discarded it b/c I never dreamed of something like this happening! I won't make that mistake again!!!! Mollybee, if you don't get it by Fri. , I will send the seeds that I mentioned earlier. I'll have to sort thru and see what I have, but I'm sorry to say the qty. and selection won't be as good as the packs that were in the orig. RR. I hope you folks will forgive me but I am at a loss as to why this happened.

San Antonio, TX(Zone 8a)

I have an abundant quantity of seeds that I would be happy to send to start the ball rolling again for RR2. Just let me know the address of next in line and I will mail them out tomorrow. If the other shows up then there will just be more to choose from. No Problem.

Brooklet, GA(Zone 8a)

jan you have mail

Villa Rica, GA(Zone 7a)

So now #2 is lost also??

Berrygirl, honey don't worry about sending me any seeds. I have plenty here that I will probably never have time to plant. I just wanted in on the RR because Janet is such a sweetie and after meeting her in person I wanted to join in on her RR.
I have seeds I can send to Janet, no problem.
Don't worry about it Berrygirl, things like this do happen.

Brooklet, GA(Zone 8a)

jan i have emailed debby to see if it has been lost or what. i will let you know when i hear from her as to what you should do. thanks again for the offer.

North Tonawanda, NY(Zone 3a)

Berry girl, I went throught the same stress with the same robin earlier on. Even priority mail is not foolproof, and I'm sure no one is thinking of holding you to blame.

I have lots more seed now and would love to help out! This is supposed to be fun, not stressful. That naughty "bird" that went AWOL might show up sooner or later, but in the meantime, we could do a "seed shower".

A "secret shower"...strictly voluntary and no names, so anyone who doesn't want to or can't do it won't feel bad. No more "guilt trips", just fun. MollyBee could take what she wants and put in her seed and send back to Janet. Anything on your wish list, MollyBee? Speak up gal, because on Friday, seeds will be heading your way, (in an envelope with no return addy. I'll tell the PO to smear the stamp so you won't know who sent them, tee hee hee!) Janet, you got anything on your want list??(grin)

I got "Georgia On My Mind"...la la la la (Sorry, folks, but it's actually above zero outside and this heat wave is giving me Spring Fever really bad!!)

Wildwood, FL(Zone 9a)

I received the RR 1 today. Thank goodness because after my mail ending up in someone elses box I was worried I would never get it. Will be sending on Friday to Annabellgabby. Took out six put in lots more so Janet can give away SASE. I am just not into veggie seed or herbs or I would have taken lots more.

Villa Rica, GA(Zone 7a)

Zone3! You're such a sweetie for thinkin like this :) (fun to party with too I might add LOL)
I am pretty much open for any thing. I love vines, but have more than my fair share of morning glories right now :)
I love perennials too, I'm not much into veggies right now.
So other than that I'm pretty easy to please :)

I'll let you know just as soon as it gets here too....who ever you are that will be sending it *wink ;)

Brooklet, GA(Zone 8a)

i agree this is suppose to be fun. how ever you all want to do this is ok with me

Brooklet, GA(Zone 8a)

oh yea, thanks for the extras delisa. i love being able to offer seeds for sase.

Brooklet, GA(Zone 8a)

ok folks round robin #2 is found. debby has had some life things that delayed her mailing. she will be mailing tomorrow for sure. she hopes all are not upset with her.

Santa Clara, CA(Zone 9a)

Didn't bother me at all waiting for #2. Gives me more time to go through my seeds. Sometimes life just gets in the way of fun and I hope things are better for her now.

San Francisco, CA(Zone 10a)

Hi...

Not sure who put the Brugmansia seeds in RR #1. If I remember right, the package said Creamsickle Mama. Probably, means, the seeds were from Creamsickle with an unknown pollinator?

Just wanted to say both of the seeds I soaked, peeled and germinated are already up, healthy, and heading toward first true leaves.

Looking forward to the blooms!

Thanks for sharing!

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

Oooh Eje! You lucky thing! You should get some beautiful babies no matter who the daddy was! Creamsickle is a beautiful double! How exciting!

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

Gosh....I hope everything is OK with Debby! I'm not upset at all....I totally understand those 'life things' that happen! Take care Debby!!!

Brinda :)

Lakemont, GA(Zone 8a)

Mollybee, did the seeds come today?????? After 3 wks. I doubt it but I was hoping anyway. I will send seeds ASAP. Please e-mail me your addy. Thanks and again, I am so sorry!!!!! Debbie

Villa Rica, GA(Zone 7a)

Nope nothing yet.

We can still have hope that they will show themselves one of these days.
I had a Birthday card from my sister who lives in Alabama, that arrived 3 months late. The post mark was like 4 days before my birthday but it didn't arrive until 3 months later. Still in tack, not torn or messed up eaither. I still wonder what happened on that one too!
So I do have hope that the seeds will show up sooner or later. X fingers crossed.

Milo, IA(Zone 5a)

Okay, between the life issues and snowstorms, RR# 2 is on its way to Brinda.

Brooklet, GA(Zone 8a)

THANKS FOR THE UPDATE

Harlem, GA(Zone 8a)

Received Round Robin on 2-11-04 from Delisa. There are so many and such a great variety to choose from , and I'm still going through them. Please be patient with me, as I have alot of life things going on also inbetween my looking at all of them. I'll be posting here when I mail back out to Janet.

Janet please send me your home addy so that I can forward the package back to you after my review.

Awesome Round Robin!

Thank you

North Tonawanda, NY(Zone 3a)

A little birdie (Lolol) told me that a robin flew out of Northern NY today. It was flyin' priority mail with a delivery confirmation stuck to it's tail feathers (#0303 2460 0002 0255 5366).

Like many robins, it was running a bit late taking off. This was because some of the girls at work saw me getting the envelope ready, and they wanted to send some seeds too.
So we had a mini-swap session and ended up with 20+ different packets to give you more of a selection.

Just like a real one, take out what you want, put yours in and forward back to jcf (I put a couple of veggie things in there she might like). The bird isn't as large as the one that got lost but hopefully you'll have fun looking over the seeds and maybe find something of interest. :o)

Hugs from me and the gardening gals at work

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

RR#2 made it here on Wednesday or Thursday. Today I will look and get it back out on Monday! I haven't opened it yet, but it sure is full!

Brinda :)

Villa Rica, GA(Zone 7a)

Zone3, It sounds like you and the ladies at work are such a delightful group to be with.
How lucky they are for having a dear friend as you to work with :)

San Antonio, TX(Zone 8a)

Looks like #1 RR is going to be the first to finish. Heheh. Yea team!

Brooklet, GA(Zone 8a)

jan it is getting close. can hardly wait julie ann said it was bursting at the seams with goodies. thank uyou all for playing!!!

Villa Rica, GA(Zone 7a)

Zone3,
The seeds arrived here today :) Thank you soo much!!
I have taken out 6 and replaced 6 as well. They are going out in tomorrows mail.

So Janet, they will be on their way tomorrow.

Thanks ya'll. This was fun :)

Lakemont, GA(Zone 8a)

No thanks to me, I'm sure. I will prob. never participate in anything else after this debacle. Am almost too ashamed to even post this. I know my name is mud right now. Hope y'all can forgive me. You prob. think I made the whole thing up and kept all the seeds for myself. But as a woman of faith, I can promise you that I sent those seeds and HE knows where they are. I just wish HE would make them show up!!!! Once again, I am so sorry.

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

awwww berrygirl! I dont know about anyone else... but things happen! I do NOT think you did anything on purpose, and your name is for sure NOT mud!
If people dont believe you.. well shame on them. I know 100% EVERY SINGLE one of us have had somthing in our lives happen that we had NO control over.
Please have a light heart, and no worries over this!

Villa Rica, GA(Zone 7a)

O berrygirl, PLEASE don't let this bother you!! You only done what you were suppose to do, you mailed it. I TOTALLY blame the Post Office for the package getting lost. Far as I know NO ONE here thinks you are or have kept the seeds for yourself. You are sooo right about HIM knowing exactly where they are and hopefully they will make someones life more colorful.
Don't be so hard on yourself, its only seeds!! This kind of thing happens everywhere!
