Coffee mugs are again available

Archer/Bronson, FL(Zone 8b)

Dave & Trish, are these microwavable?

Stoneham, MA(Zone 6a)

Dave, the mugs look marvelous!!! Luckily, I ordered a couple early, but, hoped to order a couple more later for my nieces and gardening friends.

Say it ain't so Dave :( no more mugs ... Oh the horror ... what a world, what a world ....

Of course I'm kidding but 144 isn't so many considering how fantastically DAVE'S GARDEN grew over the past two years, is it?? Curious, how many new subcribers/members does DG actually grow per year? Or, what's the gross harvest been? ;-)

Just an FYI for Trish -

I do understand about those boxes sitting around. :-)

I did find a couple of suppliers online, pricing varies a little from one to the next. And one of them has them available in the terra cotta and in white w/your logo.

Happenstance: Who is that company? They don't have our permission to do that. Would you let me know who it is?

MollyMc: Yes, they are microwavable and dishwasher safe. Trish microwaves her mug almost every day for hot chocolate.

Happenstance, are you talking about caompanies which personalize stuff and sell it in large lots, or something like Cafepress.com, which lets you sell customized stuff with your logo, by the piece?

Schriever, LA(Zone 9a)

The mug is sooo cute! Guess I'm too late to order one :( Here is a sugguestion that I'd like to see though...any chance of a DG gardening apron? On the way out to work in morning I usually can't resist pulling a lil weed or two...

Archer/Bronson, FL(Zone 8b)

I think that apron idea is great. My dh thought I needed one, so he bought me a "fish cleaning" bib apron. It has 2 pockets, 1 for my clips/snips and one for my cell phone (sorry I can't let any business callers know I'm playing hookey in the garden. lol), but FISH CLEANING?

Dave's Garden Logo would be great on one.

I've used the DG cotton bag Nat gave out at the GARU last year to keep misc. papers together while moving this past week. I know she intended them for seeds but I had a greater need just to keep stuff together.

Dave -

Sorry, I guess my wording was unclear. I was referring to suppliers who could personalize this same mug w/your logo/my logo/any logo. Probably one of the suppliers that you used previously and if you could find them again, there might not be a set-up fee if they saved the art work.

Thanks for that clarification, Happenstance. I know about those companies but I don't like them because they are expensive, the products aren't as good, and they give very low amounts of revenue back to the site who contracted with them.

Overall, it's a bad deal (for us, anyway).

I got one! Thank you, Dave!

Hmmmm. I thought Happenstance was talking about a company like the one Dave used - they do a "run" of the mug with the logo you want, then send them to you. Not necessarily a company that takes on the manufacturing AND marketing of them....(but then again, maybe I misunderstood - it's always possible!)

I would definitely encourage anyone who wants one to get one now. Perhaps if/when there is enough interest (maybe even pre-orders???) Dave will order another gross of 'em...

Well, they are all ready to go, but the post office is closed today! So, they won't go out until tomorrow. Sorry for the delay everyone - they should start arriving on Thursday!

I printed postage online last night and stuck a packet in my mailslot, only to realize this morning that the mail wasn't running, anyway. Blah!

Belleville, IL(Zone 6b)

I think I see my box! LOL! I just had to order one. I didn't tell my husband about it yet. He'll probably try to steal it away from me.
I'll have something cool to carry my coffee in this spring when I make my morning rounds of my garden seedlings. I won't forget to bring it in like I do the other ones left out in various places when I get side-tracked doing things.
I usually have to go mug hunting once a week to bring them all in from the garage and yard where they were left to form mold! YUK!

Mesilla Park, NM

Where can I place my order? I want one too.. please let me know if it is too late. Antoinette

Gourd, unfortunately we are now completely out. So, until I get the next order of mugs made (not anytime soon!) none can be purchased.

Thanks, Dave, the mugs just came today and they are huge and lovely and in fine shape.

Glad I was able to catch the leftovers offer

Can you drink coffee out of these, or are they just for looks?
I got mine this morning and it is so cool!

Yes, do use it for coffee! :) Put it in the dishwasher and microwave it. That's what it's for. Functional and beautiful. :)

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Oh, you betcha you can drink coffee out of 'em. I drink a pot full every day, from my DG mug. When the coffee's gone, I put hot cocoa or hot tea in it instead. Every night it goes through the dishwasher, and I frequently heat up my beverages in the microwave in the mug.

Just don't drop it on concrete - they don't like that at all. And don't ask me how I know that. Let's just say my mug is the son-of-mug #1 ;o)

Thanks!
