how you separate your amaranth seeds from the chaff?
My friend asked me and I thought I would ask the experts :)

amaranth seed question
Assuming here you mean like love lies bleeding? Rule number one, don't get the chafe on you or your clothes unless you like being itchy. :) I usually put them in a paper bag and shake it violently. Then I rip a tiny hole in the bottom of the bag and shake the seeds out onto a plate. Then I put them in an envelope and do the same thing. You will never get all the chafe off though. Good luck.
I think is Globe Amaranth that he has. I think your method should work. Thanks for the advice!

IF it's love lies bleeding don't forget that important last step - send Janiejoy some seeds!
OH! Globe Amaranth is Gomphrena. Each petal IS the seed. No getting stabbed, no blowing, no shaking! LOL Just make sure the flowers are completely dry and store them whole or crumble them apart. :) You can peel them out of the petals, but it is not necessary.
Thanks Badseed!
