have been growing this type of italiasn squash for years. they seem to grow no matter what the weather conditions are.
how do these look?
What great squash? It seems I've seen them on another thread. What variety are they?
weezingreens - yes, ive seem them also. think they were called something like "tambolina". i really do not keep track of what i plant, that is until i got on this website. now i try to take note of every seed and plant i buy. as far as this squash is concerned, i bought the seed paqckage in some store. the italian name for this squash is cucozza (or something like that). i know i plant the seeds either memorial day or i wait until june 11th (my birthday) to plant the seeds into the ground.
Cococellez is the name, I think. I've got to try these next year!
Herbie, We buy that squash at the formers market --- aren't they wonderful? Next year I'm going to plant some, Shepherds seed has them. Do you grow them on a trellis?
