There was a programme on the radio4 today where they were pointing out that back pain is often (though not always) caused by a lack of strength in certain key muscles, which are needed to support and move the skeleton in the right way. Apparently there are now 'muscularskeletal physicians' within the NHS who can help to identify problems and suggest appropriate exercises.
If this is so in your case, it could give you a cure for life - not just til the next episode. Might be worth a trip back to your NHS quack asking to see a muscularskeletal specialist
Chiropractors. Rip off or know their thing
I'll keep that in mind, thanks
You need to do it now. Kept in the mind won't help - it's prevention not cure. If you exercise now while you aren't in pain, you may not ever have that pain again
...and it should be FREE lol
Mark,
philomel is very right; people who ignore the problem when they are out of pain eventually find their way right back into our offices. Stretching and exercise will keep you out of our offices.
Dr. Marshall
I exercise every morning for 45 minutes. Mostly stretching (Yoga?). Some of it is from a Yoga book; some of it is made up, as it feels right. Never felt better, or have been more ready for the day!
Good for you, golddog!
