Geez..this vine already crapped out for me! They started nicely from seeds, now I have seed pods forming and not much growth, with more leaf loss. They're in full sun, good soil with nitrogen, no bugs but they aren't growing as I had expected...pooh!

Hyacinth Bean Vine
Dicentra
They're beans, they like poor soil. i may have a few seeds left if you need more. they should do good planted directly in the ground.

Dicentra:
I've been starting seeds for years.
I didn't have any luck with them either.
I dont know what happened I think I'll take Calaliyies advice and plant the seeds directly into the soil; outside.
Paul
I started some in cell packs and then transplanted into the garden. They finally got about three feet high. I had one bean to come up where I had them the year before. It must have been 20 or more feet long and bloomed like crazy. That's all I can figure out that was different.

i had one indoors a couple of years ago, grew really tall, throught the blinds on the conservatory roof, not many leaves, about 2 flowers i didnt bother with it again
*sigh*
it looked so good in the books...
