Garden Phlox, how tall will it grow?

(Zone 4a)

My Autumn Clematis is out of control,
but the autumn Phlox are determined to show!
They must be 7 feet tall!

Whew! Come grow in my garden! Sounds like your phlox could take on my cannas & win!!! Most of my phlox are short little buggers this year. I moved some to new beds & bought new colors. First it was too wet for weeks, then we had a drought! The poor things were so short when they bloomed that I had to hunt for them! Maybe I sould go print out your photo and give them some inspiration for next year....

Thanks for the comments. [Zone 4]
I was just as surprised when I saw
the two Phloxes peeping through the
Autumn Clematis. You can bet I will
cut back that Clematis (when my son
comes home - ha!) This huge Clematis
belongs in the grove.

Perennial Death Match 2003! ;)

Our poor phlox did great for a while, but now they're all mildewed and wilting in the heat. Time to cut them back!
