Home stretch

Jacksonville, TX(Zone 8b)

Well, I'm finally down to the last week (weeks) until Baby's arrival.

Since we also moved while pregnant, I've been almost completely out of the DG loop for months. Not that I've been ignoring any of you, I've just been so absorbed in getting myself, and the house ready for the newest arrival, there hasn't been much time for social calls :)

Now that I feel everything is ready (or as ready as it will be), I'm ready to slow down and take it easy over the next couple of days. I'm 37 weeks now, and I've consistantly delievered at 38, so not too much longer!!!!

Since Dave and I have moved so many, many times we've never really had any group of people to share our excitement with, so it's nice to share our excitement with a group of people for the first time!

Trish

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

I am glad to hear that you are alright and that things are going good for you and the baby :)
Keep us posted when things start to happen. I'm sure the excitement will be huge for the both of you but don't forget to let us know :)

Huntington Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

Trish,

We've been wondering how you were doing and knew the big day was coming shortly. I'm also glad to hear that your feeling fine and that the house is ready for your new bundle of joy.

The waiting room here at DG will be filled, I'm sure, with lots of well wishers and probably some small betting on whether it will be a boy or girl. hehe

Take care and let us know when your ready to go!! We'll be waiting right here.

Donna

Oh I was hoping this was baby news :-). Well, you missed Hank's birthday. DD's is September 3 but it doesn't sound like you might hold on that long. You are in our prayers and we can't WAIT to hear the news!

Frederick, MD(Zone 6a)

Trish, well I'm not an old-timer here at DG, but found myself this morning thinking about how you were doing. So glad things are going smoothly and hope your new little one arrives in flawless fashion.

Spring Hill, FL(Zone 9a)

Hi Trish! So, how many minutes do you think you will actually relax or sit still??? ;) I cannot wait until you have the baby so we can all find out who it is. Hugs to you. Really do try to take it easy.

Glad everything is in order and you're able to rest a bit.

Mount Angel, OR(Zone 8a)

I'm rooting for twins!! Good luck!

Middle, TN(Zone 6b)

I am so glad you are settled in and ready for the little one to arrive. I feel like I am going to have another grandbaby. Can't wait to see pictures. Dave needs to start a thread for the new baby's pictures and it would be nice to see some of the other kids also. Maybe we could see the baby right after it is born, pictures with each member of the family seeing the new baby, etc. You get the idea, the kind of pictures the a family always waits to see. You are all in our prayers at this exciting time in your lives as we all love you and your family so much. I bet Granny Lois is really getting excited too.

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

Trish it's good to know that you can relax before your precious baby arrives. I can almost picture the nursery and I bet the house is buzzing with excitement, especially the children!! Hugs and prayers for a safe delivery!!

Efland, NC(Zone 7a)

I'm a nervous wreck! Seems like it has been longer than nine months since we were all discussing potential names!!

Glad all is going as planned tho; the house, the nursury, yours and the baby's health. Lookin' good from where I sit!

hon, I'm praying for you, I love you both, and can't wait for the news.

Georgetown, TX(Zone 8a)

Can't blame you for being mushy. Babies are my soft spot, and I get mushy just thinking of those magic hours and days when you first get to hold your new family member, soaking up the smell and those little sounds only a newborn makes. A precious little infant can melt almost any heart, and can control entire families while sleeping peacefully away or exercising those tiny lungs. Oh, what a special atmosphere is about to envelope your world. Of course, all of you are foremost in my thoughts, for a trouble free beginnning of this new phase of joy.

Benton, KY(Zone 7a)

So glad the arrival is about upon us.

You and Dave are raising 2 wonderful little people who are without a doubt growing into caring, thoughtful and kind big people. It will be a pleasure to welcome another one of yours into the world.

Panama, NY(Zone 5a)

I've been thinking about you and Dave and all alot lately - even if you don't often hear from me. Take care - let yourself have a rest now and you'll feel a whole lot better sooner.

Jacksonville, TX(Zone 8b)

Well, yesterday I decided to clean- whole house top to bottom. Well, not including my office...but we won't talk about that :)

I also made 3 more meals for the freezer. and cut out 3 more shirts to sew up (if I have time). Today is decorating day...get some stuff hung on the wall that I've been meaning to do, and put some finishing touches on other things.

All the bills are paid, so I hereby give the baby permission to enter the world (I thought Shoe would like that...)

So, as you can see, Badseed, no, I can't just sit around and do nothing, but there is no stress of tile, and painting, and and and and and looming over our heads anymore!

Melody, my sweety! I do believe that that is the nicest thing anyone could have possibly said! Thank you so much, my friend (((((())))

Trish

Kentwood, LA(Zone 8b)

Trish A huge spurt of energy to clean the whole house usually means the baby will be here the next day or so. With this heat I know you will be glad when this is over. I am up for babysitting. My best wishes to you and your family.

An old saying or prediction is if you are carring a baby in the front in your lap, it is a boy and if you are showing more in the back(big behind) and carring the baby under your ribs it will be a girl.

Yippee, it's almost baby time! I'm so happy for your family, Trish!

Efland, NC(Zone 7a)

Hah! If the first thing that baby says is "permission to enter?", ya'll are gonna either gonna laff out loud or totally freak out, Trish!

Yep, sounds like your nesting instincts are continuing full blast. Counting down the days...hmmm, could you shoot for Thursday maybe? (I'm still a nervous wreck!) τΏτ

southeast, NE

Great to hear that everything is going well! Looking forward to hearing the great news.

Fountain, FL(Zone 8a)

Ah yes..the old nesting/cleaning routine. Gonna have a new miracle to hold soon. ((((HUGS))))

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

You know Trish, I was coming to this post to give you a hard time and you beat me here. LOL I'm not sure if nesting is really something inside of us trying to get ready or if it is something we do to try to get the baby out of our bellies and into our arms. :) So what I was going to post was.....
Any contractions, cramping?? Does your back hurt? Do/does all those other things that mean labor, are they happening? LOL I want to wish you the very best of luck and a quick and safe delivery. I can't wait to find out your new precious bundle is here. :) I'd tell you to go relax but since we both know better, hurry up and get everything done so you can sit and take a breath for a few days after the little sweetie gets here. ((( Trish )))

Bay City, MI(Zone 5a)

Oh Goody :) Please just let us know when"baby to be" arrives!

Ewing, KY(Zone 6a)

Any news yet? You know how impatient I am. lol

Seward, AK(Zone 3b)

Trish

All that prepping! I'd forgotten the nesting instinct, and how much more intense it can be when you are moving into a new place! All that exercise is going to make you fit as a fiddle for the delivery! Can't wait to see the new arrival!

Georgetown, TX(Zone 8a)

Are you guys forgetting that Trish doesn't post photos of her children, or even of herself often? I didn't dare hope for a look, just figured I would sigh with relief when the word was posted that all was well and a new baby was in residence.

How brave to still be cutting out things to sew!
