Hello Friends,
In case any of you have not heard there is a new Pansy called Icicle. It is guaranteed to bloom up until the first snow and then bloom again in the spring. They have a website http://www.iciclepansy.com You can even find a location near your home that sells them. Look forward to trying these. Sounds quite interesting.

Adrienne, thanks for posting the hyperlink. Sounds like a great flower to extend the season.
I bought some of these, or similar, last fall at Home Depot and found that my "regular" pasies were just as hardy and more floriferous than the so called icicles. My Johnny-jump-up/pansy mixes bloom all winter even under the snow. I think this is more marketing than radical new plant type. They ARE pretty though, and I am a sucker for any new pansy or viola!
