Earlier I had posted pictures of my new this spring woodland garden area. Here is a picture of what one area looks like now. Donna
Woodland Garden Aug. 03, No 1
How very beautiful your garden looks, very inviting.
Donna, I love the way you have the path curving, just inviting a stroll to make new discoveries. Great job!
Rutholive, you've done a wonderful job. Looks like an oasis of green and blooms. Do you get butterflies and birds stopping by to enjoy it?
trillium_girl, lots of hummingbirds and other birds, but not too many butterflies. I even planted 3 varieties of Asclepias for the Monarchs, ma be too far in the northwest for them to fly by here. Did see a couple of Tiger Swallowtails.
Thanks for all the nece remarks about the woodland garden. Donna aka rutholive
Donna, you did a lovely job with your woodland garden. It looks like a very inviting path to stroll down and admire all the flowers and shrubs. Plus, you have a beautiful mountainous backdrop too! Which range of mountains is it...Cascades or Rockies?
Donna: That is so inviting. I want to come and sit for awhile. With the mountain view it is postcard perfect. Great job.
I agree, I had to take a double-take-look because it is so beautiful it is like a painting.
You certainly have "the eye" AND the green thumb for garden layout!
Thanks for all the nice comments. I would love to have all or any of you come to visit and have a cuppa.
Shirley, those are the Cascades in the distance. I love our mountains here and all the rocks too. Donna
YES! I guessed correctly!!! The Cascades are a beautiful mountain range. You are so lucky to be able to view them from your lovely garden! That's a DOUBLE plus, in my book!!
wow very very nice!!!
what came to my mind was, follow the yellow brick road. so pretty. ty for sharing
Donna,I love your yard!!!!!
Even tho the smoke was terrible today, I did go out to the garden this morning as had to irrigate. One reason i can't lose any weight---As I moved sprinklers, turned on soaker hoses I ate some Fall Gold raspberries, some beautiful large blacberries from my thornless vines, some cherry tomatoes, and also some husk tomatoes. Sure was good!!!Donna
Oh, how stunning! Such a happy place! Your work has certainly paid off. Thanks for posting the update.
