It's been years since DW and I have visited Thomas Jefferson's home, so the workshop gives us an excuse to make the drive.
We're registered and will be on-hand that Saturday morning.

BTW, the last time we were there, it was sometime in August, I remember grazing off the seemingly endless variety of figs, stuffing myself with no abandon. Nobody stopped me, I picked only the most ripe fruits, thinking that they would fall and rot anyway, really ;->
Fall Vegetable Garden Workshop at Monticello Aug 9 2003
I read his Garden Book (twice actually) in July and I will be with y'all in spirit...
Have a great time! Let us know how it goes, and what you are doing/seeing/eating ;D
Got a camera you can take photos to share? Maybe with a little fig juice running down the chin? LOL I also adored picking and eating figs from trees.... *drooling
Got a camera you can take photos to share?
Sure, good idea.
Oh GG lucky you, I'd love to see Monticello! I've seen a special on PBS, but it didn't do justice to the grounds. Please, please take lots of pictures for us!

We have been to Monticello in the Fall. Gorgeous time to see all the trees on the property in their glorius colors! We really enjoyed the guided tour of Monticello, because Thomas Jefferson was such a creative and brilliant man, you can see many of the creations that he invented and are still in use today. Awesome place to visit anytime of the year, but it's gonna be hot when you attend the seminar, because they didn't have a.c. back then!!!
