Grove City, OH(Zone 6a)

'Chele, you HAVE to have your baby by this week! Else how are you gonna make it up to Columbus on 4/9 for the DeMonye's Plant Sale Party???? (Hope you are thriving!) Love ya. Kathy

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

You people are WAY too nice! LOL Hubby took the pics and said that camera is totally unforgiving (unsteady hand!). LOL Personally, I think it added about 25 pounds. ;) Althought he captured great pics of my belly (how could he have missed that???), my face is blurry on both.

Liz, you read every reply?? LOL

Nope, Ernie, no boat! :) Just been busy doing little odd jobs around the house and keeping hubby busy with the "honey do's", but you know about those I bet.

Cincinnati, OH(Zone 6b)

Look out she's gonna blow!!!!

Hey maybe if you fired up that unit there you could get it to sprout faster!
It works w/ seeds!

We've hit a rough spot in the road. Lillie woke up this morning with breathing problems (asthma) due to catching a cold. I am willing myself to stay pregnant until she is recovered. It would be awful to have to leave her alone at Children's Hospital if she gets worse and awful if I had to go have the baby by myself. :( Here's to hoping she gets better quick!

Clermont County, OH(Zone 6a)

Awwwe Chele, sorry to hear about Lillie, I'm sure she'll be better soon. Make sure you take care too and don't get that cold. If it's anything like the one we had going around at school, get everybody to drink lots of o.j. They should all wash their hands lots too.

N.C. Mts., NC(Zone 6b)

Praying for Lillie and for you to (hold It)

Crossville, TN

AWW Presious Lillie...I do hope it is over soon and she is well enough to help deliver her new sister!! Jo

Cincinnati, OH(Zone 6b)

Chele,
I hate to hear that!
Tell her that Robyn sends her love!!
Me too but I don't count w/ the girls ;)

Ric

Keeping you all in my prayers...Get Well real soon Lilly!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Thanks all of you! It was a rough morning, starting at 6am. After blasting her with meds, taking her out into the cold, then sitting in a steaming tub with her, she finally calmed down some. It is awful when your child can't breathe. She has done so well this year thanks to preventatives and this is the first time she has gotten sick. We really thought she might get through this winter with no problems. 71 yesterday and flurries today, all sorts of bugs going around, everyone has a cold....no wonder! The worst of it usually takes about 3 days, sometimes 5 and it is always worse late at night or early in the morning. Now, if we can just get through a few more days, and keep me prego that long. LOL Yeah, I know, days ago, I was ready to hit the eject button. ;)

Umm, Ric, your problem lies in the plants. LOL Next time bring bribes, ignore the plants or help make mudpies! It's your only way in.

Cincinnati, OH(Zone 6b)

I'm so glad she's doing better!
Hope this passes quickly.

I'm well aware of the way into the 'tribes' inner circle.
I have 6 nieces between 32 and 2.
Bribes and attention ALWAYS work! LOL

Seed, you look awesome! You are such a natural at this :) God must really favor you & Craig for blessing you with such wonderful children! I'm thinking & praying for you & Lillie & litte Maddie to be?

Do try to take it a little easy!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Thanks a bunch for the compliments. Honestly I feel like a big fat toad! LOL Lillie has been doing okay and I can finally get her into her specialist today. Had to move my midwife appt to tomorrow since the other appt is more important. My eldest two are dissapointed as they chose yesterday for 'birth' day. LOL Hey, they could still win on what she looks like or her size. What we do to amuse ourselves. ;) Personally, I chose tomorrow but I am hoping she stays in there nice and safe until we all get over these colds! Oh, just for the record, my smarty pants hubby chose April 1st (Fools Day) for the birth. Nice, huh?!

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Were you going to be induced?

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I don't do induced! LOL With each baby we kind of all pick a day and physical characteristics for the baby. There really is no prize or anything, just something we do for fun. I don't do doctors, meds, tubes, wires, etc. She'll get here when the time is right. Remember, the first four were late, the last was early, so she could arrive anytime between oh, now and the middle of April. LOL

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

I didn't think you went for all the medical intervention stuff -- That's why I was thrown when you said you had to change the appointment with the midwife and the girls would be disappointed!

Franklin, LA(Zone 9b)

oooh how the heck do you do it without meds?!?!? lol
i had an epidural... and it was still the most painful thing i could possibly imagine, and i screamed my head off and almost kicked the doctor's head right off of his shoulders .. lol :)

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

I'm sayin'. This, among other reasons, is why we stick with dogs and cats!

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

She's brave to go thru with out med... I tried with Matt.. I told nurse and doctors.. No medicine for pain... I went thru to 6 cm.... that was not that bad.. Nurse said you have to get epidural for surgery for tube tied at 7 cm.

I told them I wanted to go thru the experience with the pain! They can't believe you went thru that far... lol

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

LOL I don't do it because it is fun or to prove anything. LOL I had an epidural and a whole bunch of other unwanted stuff with the first and honestly the epidural is far worse than any part of birth! That is why I chose to have a midwife and deliver without meds. The worse part only takes about 20 minutes then I am up and showering and ready to go home. It's a trade off, but well worth it.

Franklin, LA(Zone 9b)

well, lucky you, if it really isnt that bad for ya
but i honestly couldnt have done it without the epidural
lol
even *with* the epidural, i was demanding to be cut open
lol

Scotia, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL miss_kitty. I had the epidural too (after 72 hours labor) and then they did cut me open! After that I had the next 2 by scheduled C-sections and forewent the pain entirely....drug me, cut me and wake me when it's over! But I gave it a good try to make it through naturally first. My Daughter on the other hand is like BS and had no pain treatment.

Franklin, LA(Zone 9b)

oh geez
i was only in labor for 6 hours!
i would have just DIED after 72 hours of labor!
lol
guess i'm just a wuss, though
:)

Dayton, OH(Zone 5a)

LOL that your DH picked 4/1! I'll bet he's right :)

Ewing, KY(Zone 6a)

By bet is on as soon as Lillie is better. Which means anyday now. lol

Golden, CO(Zone 5b)

I just read this thread for the first time, since my puter has issues about loading anything this big, so I have to comment on a couple of things.

BS, you look lovely pregnant! You guys are gonna think I'm nuts, but I always envied women who looked pregnant because people are usually so nice to them. Opening doors, first in line at the bathroom, etc. I never looked pregnant with any but the last one. When I was almost 9 months along with my second, we managed a trailer park, and no one knew I was pregnant until the paramedics arrived. They thought someone died. ( First and only time in her life that child has EVER been early for anything!)

You are definitely stronger than me, the only one I had "naturally" was the one the paramedics delivered at home and from then on I wanted drugs! And if you really want embarrassing, try meeting the paramedic three months later at the mall! I didn't know him, but he certainly remembered me! At 23, it really was embarrassing.

And for the husband, (Like miine), who refuses to admit that having all girls is his fault? At some point in their misspent teenage years, they ALL sent up a heartfelt prayer for a lapful of teenage girls. In a few years that is exactly what he will have, just not quite the way he had in mind! Six daughters is just God's sense of humor. We have six also, can you tell!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

ROTFLOL Terre! Very nice to meet you and thanks for the compliment. The 'your poor husband' always gets me. And I always respond "I had nothing to do with the sex, I just carry them.". :)

As it turns out, I stopped for lunch yesterday with my 2 and 4 year olds. There were a bunch of fireman and paramedics there from two different fire depts. One of them asked me if I was about ready and of course my response was that it was number six and I was more than ready. LOL I recongnized several of them from them being at my house when my husband had a heart attack and later when I had palpitation problems. They remembered us too. Well, one dept told me to make it to the other one's district before I called for help and the other said the opposite. LOL I was cracking up. They told me they preferred not to deliver 'in the field'. How could I not laugh. My worst nightmare would be finding myself half through birth with a room for of men! LOL I don't know you handled it.

I am glad you took the time to load the thread because I enjoyed your post. :) You have six girls or six kids?? I thnk you just said girls. GRIN.

Bay City, MI(Zone 6a)

wow ladies you are brave!!!
Pez you are going to pop sooooooon!
LUVZ YA! good luck girlfriend!

Golden, CO(Zone 5b)

Six girls, BS! Four are mine, and all six are his! It's never dull! But in DH favor, a more UNchauvanistic Italian I've never met! He teaches all of them the traditional boy stuff, but is fashion consultant to my "girly" daughter.

Yeah, birth at home with paramedics no older than me was NOT my idea of fun! We'd had friends over the night before, and I'd had false labor with the first one, so I thought I was having it again. I had a couple of glasses of wine, and went to bed! Woke up at 730, by 745 we had a house full of firemen, cops, etc, NATURALLY all male! (Keep in mind, this was 25 years ago!) DH was feeling the aftereffects of the night before, and one of the cops went to the fridge, pulled out the remainder of my wine and gave him some. Told him he needed it! But as to how I handled it? It was a bit late to back out at that point! Closed my eyes and pretended to not be there! Why do you think I didn't recognise the paramedic later!

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

You guys are KILLING me! This is too funny! Worst I've ever had is gas pains, LOL.

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

LoL at GW.. I can't help.... soo funny..

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

hello Chele....thanks for pointing me this way - I wouldn't have wanted to miss those photos for all the tea in China!!

Just about to answer your email now!! :-) I'm gone!!

Mount Hermon, LA(Zone 8b)

Badseed... you give birth, then you GET UP and shower? You are Wonder Woman in my book! If I had had kids, I would have milked the situation for all it was worth! LOL. The ol' forearm-across-the-brown bit. You rock! -- Jean

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Well, she tried to milk it, but just couldn't. I bet after Morganne was born, Craig got a clue when 'Chele went right out and potted up brugs...

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

LOL I sure didn't get up and go after Morganne was born. I was laid up quite awhile. That is why I have midwives now and don't *do drugs*. Yeah, it hurts like you are gonna die for a few minutes then you hold the baby and it's all worth it. :) Hey, I'm dumb enough to keep doing it.

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Yeah, but I bet you were out with your plants after baby #2! ;) You're da bomb, Chele.
