Good Morning All,
I have been considering buying a ComposTumbler sold by a company in Liitz, PA. Before spending that kind of money, thought I'd check and see if any DGers had any experience with this product or could recommend one they have had success using. My DH has nothing to do with the yard and I know I'm not going to get out and turn that pile religiously. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.
ComposTumbler
Here one thread on them.http://davesgarden.com/t/297762/
catlady: that would probably be the "ComposTumbler" that comes in three sizes, right? I have been very interested in these and have received lots of literature. I have had a few people recommend them. I have been holding off on buying but have about convinced myself that it would be worth it. I have 32 acres with Longhorns and four horses and lots of leaves, so there is plenty of material to work with. By the way, we are practically neighbors, only 25 miles or so.

Thanks Rootdoctor, check that thread and found lots of info there.
Bill, yes it is the one that comes in three sizes. I was thinking of the large one too, as we have three and a half acres with lots of trees. We are almost neighbors, I come almost to Lindale when I go to the Tyler Flea Market. Will have to email you when I'm heading that way and perhaps catch you for a glass of tea. Are you planning to go to either of the round-ups? We also have another members in Longview, we meet often to discuss gardening, and in Big Sandy that I am still trying to visit. I almost forgot Arptiger, in Arp of course. We are just a few shy of being able to have our own ET Round-up.
Hi catlady: Yes, you are very near when you go to the Flea Market, in fact I was there just last week-end. I will eMail you with my phone number, as I would sure like to meet you and the other East Texas members. I plan to attend the Central Texas roundup in Fredericksburg or where ever the final decision is made to have it. Although I live in Lindale, just one block off the Main Street, (Hwy. 69), my farm is near Red Springs (between Lindale and Winona) on Highway 16. If you need any material for compost, if you get the ComposTumbler, I will be glad to give it to you.

Catlady, you might want to check this out before buying a compost tumbler. The company has a poor rating in the Garden Watchdog.

etexbill, Did you read those comments in the watchdog? Looks like bad news to me. Guess I'll keep looking for one that works. :(
Oops, thanks catlady for calling my attention to this. I'll keep looking. This information keeps me from wasting a lot of money. In fact, that money would pay for a DG membership for a lot of years. What a great place. Edited to read "and thanks NoH20 for pointing this out to us".
