What are they And how do I get rid of them. I saw a couple flying aruond my veggie garden this morning also. Ugly little buggers,Huh?

Those are Japanese beetles and they love roses. Control depends if you want to stick to organic methods or use insecticides. I had terrible trouble with them when I first started gardening. It took a couple of years to get the population down using organic methods ... but there's very few here now.

Tried 'squishing' the lil buggers .Used a plastic bag over my hand and squished 'em right on the flower and left them there....Whooo-Hooo..Looks like they got the message. Thanks a Bunch, >^,,^< SB
