I'm so excited - I have to tell y'all about this!

Vancouver, WA(Zone 8a)

GW, you have gotten a lap top and are visiting us from bed?
Where's GW? Where else? BED!!!

Scotia, CA(Zone 9b)

It is so wonderful to see your photos in use by such a reputable firm! And that you were able to get a good bed with your windfall is icing on the cake!

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

I've been gone this afternoon. Actually took portraits of a PERSON today, believe it or not! No, the laptop hasn't gotten here yet - Howie said if it comes while he's at work, I can't open it. He wants us to enjoy opening the package together. It's the whole experience thing, I guess!

Verona, ON

Way to go! I am so happy for you, Howie must be some proud. Hope your new bed is all you have dreamed about. Keep those pictures coming!D.

South Point, OH(Zone 6a)

What a wonderful story! I just now read the whole thread for the first time. The pictures are great, just as one would expect from a professional photographer which you are, Kim. Enjoy the mattress and the laptop, you richly deserve it.

Mercer, PA(Zone 5a)

gw; I'm so happy for ya! Those fotos are fantastic and you deserve everybit of attention they will bring! I know "good things come to those who wait" and it appears that your waiting is over!!

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I just found this. Great photos GW.

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Thank you, Susie. :)

Southwestern, OH(Zone 6b)

I just stumbled upon this thread as well, AMAZING photos GW! How in the world do you ever get them to hold those poses long enough for a picture?

Congrats!!!

Melissa

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Thanks, Melissa! Two factors: (1) a window right by the chair (2) clicking my tongue or saying "squirrel". They're nosy and have to look, and they look for a long time! When I want them to look at me, I can usually say "Daddy's home!" or "do you wannnnaaaaa..." (which I usually follow with "go out" or "go for a ride"). Then I have to follow through and DO what I just promised! ;)

Southwestern, OH(Zone 6b)

I read about the squirrels and the window, but I am just amazed at those shots! and with a digital camera! amazing! I need to get me one of them!

the shots still probably wouldn't come out too good.

Hubby is the photographer in this family.
Forgive my ignorance, but what breed are they?

Congrats again! It's always nice when good things happen to good people!

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

I love my digital camera - I don't think I'd ever go back to just film. Actually, we sold our nice 35mm outfit and our old digital so I could get this one. There's nothing better than being able to shoot 90 pictures guilt-free and just delete the 80 that didn't turn out like you wanted! It gives you the freedom to experiment and take risks.

Breeds -- quite a mix!

Emma (in the back, with the white and gold face) is a greyhound mix, we think.

Sarah, in the middle, is a beagle mix - supposedly beagle/chow.

The one in front is Buddy. We gave him to a friend who has him outside with his beagle on his farm (Buddy refused to be housetrained).

Southwestern, OH(Zone 6b)

I have a Mavica, I like it, but I'm ready for a new one I think. ;-)I don't think I get quality shots like that.

The dogs are gorgeous, my grey is the most loving dog I've ever seen!Is Emma like that as well?

YOU DID GOOD MOM!!!
