what's wrong with my Elephant Ears?

(Carole) Cleveland, TX(Zone 9a)

This one grows in full shade, so I don't know why it'd look like this. They get daily watering (I live in Zone 8 in Texas).

Any suggestions?

Do they have enough food? I grow mine in pots of pure compost that I keep very boggy, otherwise they get kind of burned-looking too.

YOurs looks more like the plant has gotten too dry in the last week or so. Could soemthing have disturbed the roots?

Yeah, I was kind of thinking something is munching the stem, roots or tuber. Mine look like that if I move them.

Yes, I think it's maybe just TOO hot and dry here. I should water those twice daily, I think. Or at least once soaking. But yes, I will mulch them again heavily, and FEED them.

Thank goodness it's not the blight anyway.

Appreciate your help!!

You may want to keep them in a bog situation. Maybe make a berm like with veggies and water inside the berm. You can also mulch them with your lawn cuttings. I found the more boggy the conditions, the healthier and bigger they get. My friends plants are large like lupinlovers and she gets 105+ in the summer and it is dry. She finally used this method and has less maintenance and they are beautiful. Good luck
