Hi Poppysue. I was doing some research on meconopsis and came across a thread about winter seed planting. http://davesgarden.com/t/377169/meconopsis
You had a picture showing pop bottles filled with soil and seeds (I think) and said you had the most success with that. Can you give me some info about that or direct me to a link that will explain what you were talking about? (You see, I am all ready planning for next winter to make up for the things that didn't do so well in this year's crazy weather. Hope spring's eternal in the crazy gardener's fantasies.)
CALLING POPPYSUE
Here's the thread with the coke bottles http://davesgarden.com/t/207915/ If you punch in a search for "winter sowing" I bet it will bring up lots of threads that will help.
You might want to think about starting some plants in late summer & early fall too. Here's another old thread .... http://davesgarden.com/t/53285/
