Can't say I've ever smelled a polecat! I've smelled a cat, and probably got my tongue stuck to a cold pole as a kid, but never together.

Villa Rica, GA(Zone 7a)

I love the smell of leather. Like the leather they use to make saddles with.

Mmm, that is a good smell, Molly. Horses, leather and fresh-cut hay. Mmmmm!

Lincoln City, OR(Zone 9a)

oh yes GW and Molly those are special smells.

Waterloo, ON(Zone 5b)

Many of my favourite smells are already listed, but of the ones I didn't notice:

- my grandmother's peony that she gave a piece of to my mother and I have a piece of in my garden(it has to be 75 years or older, just smelling it reminds me of her garden and my mother)
- daphne

Everson, WA(Zone 8a)

LL, I am pickin about 100 stems a day of sweet peas right here in central Ohio. I usually still have a few blooming in November. My biggest problem is the staking - some of them are over 7 feet now and a good thunderstorm topples the tops. (Okay I know I'm bragging but I am very proud of my sweet peas. If it makes you feel any better I can't grow a purple coneflower to save my life. Go figure.)
