Spots on top and its like something is eating away at my cannas, they rotted and i busted apart the rhizomes today and it appears they are rotting (even the new eyes) but they weren't wet???? HELP what can i treat with or can i soak the rhizomes in something or ?!?!? here are some photos!

LOOK AT THIS THING WHAT IS IT ??? on one of the rhizomes, I don't know whats going on they are all rotting before they even get a start, i only found one of these though. I didn't see any others, but all the rhizomes are black and icky.... some had a mold on them....

Why not take some samples to your local county agriculture agent, or the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences at UF Gainesville? http://www.hos.ufl.edu/

I could but its almost an hour from me hahah just being lazy and was hoping someone would know to help! I have grown cannas for over 5 years and never seen this happen !
